The following statement was issued by the media office of the Ministry of Finance: "Some media outlets are circulating news and making several statements regarding the general budget and attributing 'delays' from the Ministry of Finance in presenting a report on the economic and financial situation in the country and the principles adopted by the government in the budget project, known as the 'budget statement,' holding the ministry responsible for a delay that did not occur. In light of what is being circulated, the media office of the Ministry of Finance presents to the media and all interested parties the text of Article 18 of the Public Accounting Law, which states: The Council of Ministers approves the draft budget law in its final form and submits it to the legislative authority within the timeframe set by the constitution. The Minister of Finance shall provide the legislative authority before November 1 with a detailed report on the economic and financial situation in the country and the principles adopted by the government in the budget project. Therefore, any discussion about the Ministry of Finance's failure to present the budget statement lacks seriousness and has no connection to the credibility that the ministry strives to provide to the public and all interested parties. Consequently, any negative accusation against the ministry is considered a distraction that falls within the realm of populism and does not serve the public interest. November 1 is less than a month away."
