Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General, Naeem Qassem, affirmed that Israel's attempts to expand its civil attacks in Baalbek, West Beqaa, or any other place will be met with a response. He added, "Every aggression against civilians and against a situation that does not correspond with the nature of the current confrontation will be responded to, and we say to them that we are ready and present in the field." Qassem noted that "if it weren't for the resistance and its weaponry, Israel would not have been deterred," emphasizing that "the weapon is not directed inward but only towards the enemy." He clarified that the confrontation today supports Gaza, but it also significantly serves Lebanon by making it understood to Israel that it must be deterred, as the resistance is present. Thus, Israel cannot think of invading Lebanon again without facing a response and putting an end to its arrogance.
