UN Tourism Chief Visits Beirut

The Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, arrived in Beirut this evening for a visit to Lebanon that will last several days. This is his first visit to the country, aimed at participating in the celebrations for the victory of the town of Douma in the initiative for the best tourist villages in the world for 2023. He was welcomed at the airport by the Minister of Tourism in the caretaker government, Walid Nassar. A press conference is scheduled to be held tomorrow morning, Thursday, at the Ministry of Tourism, where Minister Nassar and Pololikashvili will discuss this occasion.
