Gallant Confirms Continuing the Battle Against Hamas Until Its

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated during a press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken that "we will fight Hamas until we win, no matter how long it takes." In his statement to the media, Gallant thanked Blinken for visiting Israel, noting that this visit comes "at a time of just war for the future of the Jewish people and the future of the state." Gallant added: "We will fight Hamas until we win, regardless of the time it takes. This is a just war, to defeat Hamas, ISIS in Gaza - and to bring all the hostages home."

For his part, Secretary of State Blinken expressed that Washington hopes to see the continuation of the ceasefire, indicating that this would also allow for the delivery of aid to Gaza. It is worth mentioning that Gallant's statements are similar to calls made by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir for an "immediate and massive return" to the war on the Gaza Strip, in order to "completely destroy" the Hamas movement. Ben Gvir stated in a post on the "X" platform on Thursday: "Hamas signs with one hand for a ceasefire, while with the other hand sends terrorists to kill Jews in Jerusalem."
