Abu Dhabi Police Celebrates World Intellectual Property Day

The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police celebrates World Intellectual Property Day, which is observed on April 26 each year. They have implemented targeted motivational initiatives as part of a plan to promote a culture of intellectual property, develop the skills and capabilities of personnel in creative thinking, and adopt innovative proposals that support the institutional innovation index, all within their efforts to adopt best institutional practices in their developmental programs.

Major General Thani Butti Al Shamsi, Director of the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Police Sciences and Security, confirmed the academy's commitment to conducting regular courses, programs, and specialized seminars in intellectual property management for Abu Dhabi Police personnel and other government entities. This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities and skills of personnel in such modern specialized fields, aligning with governmental strategies and directions to achieve sustainability in human capital development.

Lieutenant Colonel Mariam Mohammed Rashid from the Saif Bin Zayed Academy, head of the Intellectual Property Culture Promotion Team, explained that the implemented initiatives included training courses in intellectual property management, workshops to promote intellectual property culture, and a forum titled "Intellectual Property and its Role in Sustainable Development," featuring several prominent local and international speakers, with over 2,000 participants from police, security, and government sectors. She noted that the number of intellectual property classifications, specifically "Copyright Certificates" accredited by the Ministry of Economy, has increased.
