The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants issued a statement condemning "in the strongest terms the heinous assassination attempt against Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico yesterday, Wednesday." The ministry wished "Fico a swift recovery" and affirmed its "solidarity with him, his family, and the friendly people and government of the Slovak Republic in the face of this horrific attack."
