Title: Hamas Sets Four Conditions for Ceasefire Acceptance with Israel

Hamas's media advisor, Taher al-Nounou, commented on the recent ceasefire proposal between the movement and Israel, outlining essential points that will contribute to its implementation on the ground. According to al-Nounou, the ceasefire agreement requires the fulfillment of four main objectives, including the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip and the introduction of humanitarian aid. He added that Hamas is working on formulating its stance regarding the ceasefire proposal before submitting it to the mediators.

Earlier, two Israeli officials announced that Israel had agreed to several concessions related to the return of Palestinians to northern Gaza. Hamas stated that the last proposal conveyed by Egyptian and Qatari mediators did not meet its demands but that it would study it more thoroughly before responding. Representatives from the Israeli government and Hamas met in Cairo on Sunday for indirect negotiations via mediators from Egypt, the United States, and Qatar, who presented them with this plan.

The new proposal stipulates that in the first phase, 42 Israeli hostages (including soldiers, children, and elderly individuals) will be released in exchange for 800 to 900 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. In the second phase, all other hostages will be released, and the third and final phase involves the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip and the lifting of the blockade imposed by Israel since 2007.
