Tensions Rise in the South: Martyrdom of the Mukhtar of Al-Taybah

The Mukhtar of Al-Taybah, Hussein Mansour, was martyred during an Israeli military strike on the Bider al-Faqani area in Al-Taybah. The Israeli artillery bombardment targeted the Marjeyoun plain and the Al-Awayda hill east of Al-Taybah this afternoon, Monday, amid intense aerial surveillance. Additionally, Israeli aircraft attacked the outskirts of Jabal al-Rihane in the Jezzine area.

Reports indicate that the outskirts of Ya'roun have been subjected to intermittent artillery fire since 3 PM today, coming from Israeli positions across the border. The Ain al-Zarqa area within the outskirts of Tair Harfa - Tyre and the edges of Mahoubeib in Marjeyoun have also faced Israeli artillery strikes.

Media outlets reported that three Israeli soldiers were injured, one of them critically, on the southern Lebanese border. An Israeli reconnaissance drone fell in the vicinity of the Marjeyoun government headquarters without causing any injuries.

In response, Hezbollah announced that its forces "targeted the Al-Baghdadi site and a gathering of enemy soldiers and their vehicles in the vicinity with artillery shells, inflicting confirmed injuries. They also targeted the Hadab al-Bustan site, achieving direct hits, and hit the Branit barracks with artillery shells, resulting in direct damage, in addition to striking the Monastery site with Burkan missiles."

Hezbollah further stated that they targeted a gathering of Israeli infantry soldiers in the Shatula forest (the occupied Lebanese village of Tarbikha) with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits. Additionally, resistance elements targeted an Israeli force stationed inside a house in the Metula settlement with missiles, resulting in direct hits and casualties among them.

An Israeli tank fired several shells toward Lebanese territorial waters off Ras al-Naqoura, coinciding with medium machine gun fire directed at the same maritime area. Meanwhile, the "Islamic Resistance" targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Al-Samaqa site in the Shebaa Farms with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits.
