A shocking video has emerged, showing children at a nursery in the coastal area of Metn experiencing verbal and physical abuse. Following this, Judge Jouel Abou Haidar, presiding over juvenile cases in Mount Lebanon, issued a decision "to prevent the Gardereve nursery from opening its doors as of the date of the decision, due to the abuse of several children."
It has been reported that the doctor of the Metn district, Wissam Habchi, and the head of the Department of Mother and Child at the Ministry of Health, Pamela Mansour, are awaiting security forces to seal the nursery. According to information, a parent managed to obtain the video filmed by one of the workers inside the nursery and invited other parents to his home to discuss steps to hold the nursery's director accountable and understand what was happening to their children.
In response, the Ministry of Health confirmed its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the video circulating on various social media platforms. The ministry stated that it has opened an investigation into the matter and will take necessary legal actions as soon as possible.
While awaiting the results of the investigation, the ministry emphasized that it "will not tolerate any form of misconduct concerning those responsible for caring for and protecting children." The Internal Security Forces General Directorate announced the initiation of an investigation into this issue by the Judicial Division in New Rouche.
Reports indicate that the woman who committed these acts against the children has been arrested and is being interrogated by the relevant authorities, and the nursery has been closed, as confirmed by Minister of Health Firas Al-Abyad.
