Bouhabib Discusses Preparations for Sigourney's Visit to Lebanon

Lebanon's Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bouhabib, met with the Swiss Ambassador to Lebanon, Marion Weichsler. In response to a question after the meeting, he stated, "Countries that support the two-state solution should support the full membership of Palestine in the United Nations." He emphasized that "the time has come for the positions of countries supporting the two-state solution to be translated into concrete actions, in implementation of the relevant United Nations resolutions, and to protect international and regional security and peace." Bouhabib expressed that "Lebanon welcomes Swiss efforts to build diplomatic dialogue in the Middle East, as an alternative to the language of occupation, the gun, and further wars, destruction, and displacement." He also discussed with the French Ambassador, Hervé Magro, the preparations for French Foreign Minister Stéphane Dujourne's visit to Lebanon and the bilateral relations. Additionally, he conducted a phone call with his Austrian counterpart, Alexander Schallenberg, during which they exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East and Bouhabib's upcoming visit to Austria.
