Drug Dealer Arrested in the Act on Airport Road

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued a statement today, Tuesday, stating: "As a result of the daily monitoring carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue drug trafficking and distribution networks in various Lebanese regions, information was received by the Information Branch regarding an unidentified individual distributing drugs to dealers in the Beirut and Mount Lebanon governorates using a ‘Sweit’ motorcycle."

The statement continued, "Consequently, the specialized units in the branch initiated field and inquiry measures to uncover the suspect and arrest him. Following extensive investigations and inquiries, the branch was able to identify him as A. M. (born in 1999, Syrian), who has a criminal record for drug and theft offenses, and is wanted by the judiciary under a search and investigation warrant for drug trafficking."

It added, "After monitoring and surveillance, one of the branch patrols arrested him in the act in the Airport Road area while he was collecting money from his promotional operations, using a ‘Sweit’ motorcycle of a green color without license plates, which was seized and confiscated legally."

The statement concluded, "During the investigation, he confessed to the charges against him regarding the distribution of drugs to dealers, stating that he subsequently collects the money resulting from the promotional operations, and that the amounts of money seized in his possession are the proceeds from drug trafficking. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he, along with the seized items, was referred to the relevant authority based on the instructions of the concerned judiciary."
