The Sebha Security Directorate in Libya reported that three girls confessed to killing their father and dumping his body in the sewage channels to conceal the crime, due to his attempts to harass them. The authorities discovered the crime, leading to the arrest of the three girls, who were referred to the public prosecutor for necessary penalties.
The girls appeared in a video where they confessed to the details of the crime and how they divided the roles among themselves to avoid suspicion. The first girl stated that she stole a firearm, a pistol, from a friend to kill their father but hesitated; however, her sister took the gun from her and shot him twice in the head while he was sleeping, ending his life. She added that she initially hid the body under a tree, but her sister, who took on the task of cleaning the crime scene of blood, joined her and suggested moving the body to dispose of it in the sewage system to hide it.
The third sister confessed that she was aware of all the details of their father's murder before it occurred but did not take part in it. She confirmed that she did not intervene to dissuade them from their actions and covered for her sisters to protect them.
