Death of Princess Rajwa's Father, Wife of the Jordanian Crown Prince

The Jordanian Royal Court announced on Sunday the passing of Princess Rajwa Al Hussein's father, Khalid bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif. By order of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Royal Court has declared a three-day mourning period for the deceased, starting today, Sunday, February 18, 2024, corresponding to the 8th of Sha'ban 1445 Hijri. The Royal Court expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to King Abdullah II, the royal family, the family of the deceased, and the Al Saif family during this time of sorrow.

Who is Khalid Al Saif?

The deceased Khalid bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif was born in 1953. He was married to Izzah bint Naif Abdulaziz Ahmad Al Sudairi and had four children: Faisal, Nayef, Dana, and Princess Rajwa. The Al Saif family traces its origins to the Subai tribe and has been the chieftains of the town of Al Attar in Sudair, Najd, since the early reign of King Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Subai tribe is one of the largest tribes that settled in various regions within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a group residing in Al Attar, where the princes of Al Attar were from the Al Saif family, and the title of prince continued to be used until recent years.

Princess Rajwa's father graduated from the American University of Beirut with a degree in civil engineering and founded the company "Al Saif Engineers and Contractors," which is now one of the largest contracting companies in Saudi Arabia, along with several other companies in various sectors.
