The acting Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mohsen al-Mandlawi, confirmed today, Thursday, the necessity of supporting judicial institutions to contribute to the preservation of the democratic system and constitutional institutions. The media office of Mandlawi stated in a statement that "the acting Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen al-Mandlawi, met with the President of the Federal Supreme Court, Jassim Muhammad al-Ameeri, to discuss a range of important issues." It added that "during the meeting, an agreement was reached to increase coordination and cooperation between the legislative and judicial authorities, and to emphasize the need to support judicial institutions to enhance their role and status, contributing to the preservation of the democratic system and constitutional institutions in the country, as well as the importance of addressing laws related to investment and development, and the collective efforts in combating corruption and protecting public funds."
