Turkey Sends 32 Rescue Personnel to Assist in Helicopter Search

Turkey has sent 32 rescue workers and six vehicles to Iran to participate in the ongoing search operations for the helicopter that was carrying President Ebrahim Raisi. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed deep sorrow on Sunday evening upon hearing news of the helicopter incident involving Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, hoping to receive good news soon.

President Erdoğan wrote on the "X" platform: "We feel deep sadness for the helicopter incident involving the Iranian president, my brother Ebrahim Raisi, and his accompanying delegation." He added, "I would like to express that we, as the Republic of Turkey, are closely monitoring the incident in full contact and coordination with Iranian authorities, and we are ready to provide any necessary support."

Erdoğan also stated: "On behalf of my country, I convey my best wishes to our neighbor, friend, and sister nation Iran, both to its people and government, and I hope we receive good news about Mr. President and his accompanying delegation as soon as possible." The Turkish Disaster Management Authority revealed that Iran requested a search and rescue helicopter equipped with night vision technology.
