The media office of Minister of Communications Johnny Qaram announced in a statement that "in order to alleviate the financial burden on students in the border villages of Southern Lebanon amid the current security conditions, which have forced a number of public schools to close, Minister Johnny Qaram has issued a decision to create an internet package from the mobile companies 'Alfa' and 'Touch' for use by southern students to facilitate and activate online learning." The statement mentioned that "the package includes 20GB of free internet, which can be used exclusively through MSteam, enabling students to continue their lessons and use it during remote learning amid the difficult circumstances."
