Iran... Huge Investments in the Kahnava Area

Mohammad Taqi Safari, the governor of Kahnava district in Bushehr province (southern Iran), announced the implementation of significant economic projects costing over 4 trillion tomans. He mentioned the establishment of a shrimp farming facility in the northern Roodshour area, stating, "This project has been implemented and is operational with investments of around one trillion tomans." Safari explained that the shrimp farming project includes 53 ponds, with each pond covering over 50 hectares. Part of the ponds became operational last year, while others will be activated this year.

He announced the establishment of an industrial cold storage facility for fish and shrimp in Kahnava, adding, "This project has been implemented and is operational with investments of about 255 billion tomans, thanks to the private sector." He continued, "The organization of the dock and the development plan for Kahnava port are among other significant maritime projects that have been seriously implemented."

He added, "Currently, 516 commercial ships operate in Kahnava port, undertaking commercial trips that play an essential role in the large Kahnava market." Safari stated that over 1,800 billion tomans have been allocated for the Kahnava port development project, and currently, the project execution rate has reached over 19 percent.

He concluded by saying, "The energy drink production project, costing 600 billion tomans, and the lighter production factory project, costing 500 billion tomans, are also important economic projects being implemented in the industrial city of Bandar Rig."
