Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani presented a collection of winter clothing and accessories adorned with flowers on Sunday, showcasing his latest designs at Milan Fashion Week. Armani, affectionately dubbed "King Giorgio" in Italy, opened the women’s fashion show for Fall/Winter 2024, themed "Winter Flowers," with flowing designs in light gray and brown, featuring jackets and trousers embellished with blue floral scarves.
Flowers were prominent in every detail of the presentation through prints and embroidery decorating jackets, dresses, shirts, hats, and bags. Floral patterns and embroidery in pink, blue, and green added a joyful touch to dark designs in blue or black. Armani (89 years old) told reporters, "Flowers are a sign that a better season is coming, and I really liked the contrast. There are no flowers in winter; I created them."
For evening wear, shimmering floral embroidery stood out on jackets, sheer shirts, and dresses. Armani concluded the show with a selected collection of sleeveless dresses adorned with sparkling flowers. Milan Fashion Week wraps up tomorrow, Monday, before the focus shifts to Paris for the final week of the seasonal fashion shows taking place over the month.
