Emirati businessman and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, announced today, Saturday, that he follows "the news of beloved Lebanon daily and in all its details, and I feel sorrow for it and for those beautiful days." Al Habtoor stated via his official Twitter account: "Through studies, research, and analyses about the reasons that transformed it from the Switzerland of the East to its difficult situation today, and after we believed that 'Hezbollah' was the only reason behind its tragedy, it has become clear to us that there are others who have harmed Lebanon even more than it has, namely the citizens who remained silent about their rights, submitted to the status quo, and fell victim to dependence on figures they thought were their leaders and became hostages to them." He added: "We cannot exclude the so-called leaderships and politicians from being directly and indirectly responsible for the collapse of Lebanon."
Al Habtoor emphasized that "beloved and beautiful Lebanon, precious to our hearts, must regain its beautiful times, God willing, and the Lebanese citizen must recognize and hold accountable everyone who brought it to this situation, and believe in their country to restore its dignity so that Lebanon returns as we knew, loved, and cherished it."
