The "Times of Israel" reported that American weapons worth billions of dollars are "being prepared and reviewed" for delivery to Israel, despite a suspension of bomb shipments and a threat from President Joe Biden to halt further arms exports. Washington has suspended the shipment of large, precision-guided bombs manufactured by Boeing to Israel and warned Israel in an interview with CNN that the United States would stop supplying weapons if the Israeli forces launched a large military operation in Rafah, southern Gaza. The White House has long urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government not to invade Rafah without guarantees to protect civilian lives. Senator Jim Risch, the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told reporters that there is a wide range of other military equipment prepared for shipment to Israel. The shipment includes "Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMS), tank shells, mortars, and armored tactical vehicles."
