"Wadi Al-Arish" Ship with Massive Cargo Arrives from China to Egypt!

Egyptian Transport Minister Kamel El-Wazir announced the arrival of the latest dry bulk carrier "Wadi Al-Arish," with a capacity of 82,000 tons from the Chinese manufacturer "Hantong." This is the second ship received in less than seven months. The arrival of "Wadi Al-Arish" aligns with the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to make Egypt a global hub for trade and logistics. The Ministry of Transport is carrying out a comprehensive plan to develop the maritime transport sector and implement measures aimed at restoring the strength of the Egyptian commercial fleet.

Engineer Kamel El-Wazir stated that the "National Navigation Company," a subsidiary of the Egyptian Ministry of Transport, received "Wadi Al-Arish" from "Hantong," one of the largest global manufacturers specializing in building dry bulk vessels. The new ship will officially join the national commercial fleet in January 2024.

He emphasized that "Wadi Al-Arish" is considered the jewel of the national commercial fleet due to its advanced equipment and navigation devices using the latest technologies and global standards, as well as its compliance with current and future environmental regulations. The ship measures 229 meters in length, 32.26 meters in width, and has a draft of 14.5 meters.
