The Arab Parliament condemned "the repeated provocative acts of tearing copies of the Holy Qur'an, the most recent being the tearing of copies by a group of extremists in front of several embassies in The Hague." It emphasized its complete rejection of these irresponsible acts that incite feelings of hatred and violence and threaten international peace and security. The Parliament reiterated its demand for "the issuance of international laws and legislation aimed at protecting and respecting religious symbols, and rejecting extremism and violence," affirming that "the insistence on these unethical practices directly contributes to escalating tensions and undermines mutual respect in relations between peoples and countries."
