The Lebanese Golf Club honored its employees and workers during a Ramadan iftar held at the Salle Salam Ali Salam (the pavilion) at the club's headquarters in the Janah area. The event was attended by the club president and president of the Lebanese Golf Federation, Karim Salam, surrounded by members of the administration. The recognition was given to several employees who have served the club for over 50 years, contributing to its success and participation in various championships and local and international tournaments since its founding 61 years ago with founding president Salam Ali Salam.
The event began with a welcome from the club's media consultant, Hassan Mohi El-Din, followed by an emotional speech delivered by Salam, expressing feelings of pride and honor in this family gathering filled with love, generosity, loyalty, and sacrifices over the past years. Salam revealed that the club currently has three generations working together: grandfather, son, and grandson, and among them is the oldest employee, Majid Al-Miqdad, who has served the club for over 50 years.
Salam stated that he was born in the presence of some employees who are like fathers to him, and he grew up alongside others who have become like brothers. He noted that the new generation is like his children, and he hopes they will continue the legacy for generations to come. He concluded by saying that those who do not know their history have no present or future, and he hopes that future generations will celebrate again in 50 years. Medals were distributed to the honorees as a token of loyalty and appreciation.
