Russia Threatens "SpaceX" - Satellites are Legitimate Targets

Russia announced today, Wednesday, that it is aware of U.S. intelligence efforts to use commercial satellite operators such as "SpaceX," warning that these moves make those satellites legitimate targets. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told reporters: "We are aware of Washington's efforts to attract the private sector to serve its military ambitions in space," according to Reuters. She emphasized that such systems "become a legitimate target for responses that include (military) measures."
