Nottingham Forest Deducted Four Points for Financial Rule Breach

Nottingham Forest has become the second team in the English Premier League to face a points deduction for breaching profitability and sustainability rules, following a deduction of four points from its total on Monday due to financial issues. The Premier League stated in a press release that "Nottingham Forest was referred to an independent commission on January 15 after the club admitted it breached the profitability and sustainability threshold of £61 million ($77.6 million) by £34.5 million."
