The Iranian news agency reported early in the morning on the targets struck by Iranian Revolutionary Guard missiles in Israel, in response to the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus. "IRNA" clarified that the Revolutionary Guard targeted the "Negev Air Base" with its missiles. According to the agency, "this base, located south of the occupied Palestinian territories in the Negev Desert area near the city of Beersheba, has a runway that is 3,400 meters long and serves as the hangar and main base for F-35 fighters."
The report added, "In February of last year, the air force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard trained for a missile attack on a simulation model of the hangars of this Zionist air base." For his part, Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced that Iran "launched dozens of ground-to-ground missiles towards Israel," clarifying: "More than 200 rockets and drones were launched, including ballistic and cruise missiles." He indicated that there are threats coming to Israel, stating: "Iran launched a wide-scale and coordinated attack on Israel." He mentioned that "missiles fell in Israel," noting that "military infrastructure was damaged in the south."
