The media office of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced, as part of the response to the crisis in southern Lebanon in collaboration with "Education Cannot Wait" (ECW), that "1023 teachers from closed schools in the southern border area received additional support today amounting to 100 dollars. Additionally, 1077 teachers received 60 dollars as an internet subscription allowance, and 1312 teachers received 90 dollars as compensation for participating in a distance learning training course with UNESCO." The statement added, "As for the learners, 4312 learners received an internet subscription allowance or transportation allowance, and 8259 learners are scheduled to receive these allowances in the coming days."
