Following the massacre carried out by the Israeli army against citizens who were waiting to receive humanitarian aid, Al-Qassam Brigades issued the following statement: "The criminal Zionist occupation forces committed a horrific war crime today, adding to the series of crimes against Palestinian citizens in the city of Gaza, after the Zionist forces directly and deliberately bombed a gathering of citizens who were waiting to receive humanitarian aid. This resulted in more than 20 martyrs and over 150 others injured." The statement continued: "This heinous crime has been repeated several times by the fascist Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, demonstrating the sadism of the occupation and its disregard for human life and international laws, which are violated under the cover and green light of the United States. We call on the United Nations to take responsibility and adopt firm positions to stop these horrific crimes and hold accountable the perpetrators among the Nazi occupation leaders." Gazan Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra stated that "the Israeli occupation committed a new massacre against thousands of hungry mouths waiting for humanitarian aid at Kuwait roundabout in Gaza, resulting in 20 martyrs and 150 injuries." He confirmed that "the number of martyrs is likely to increase due to the numerous serious injuries that were brought to Al-Shifa Medical Complex, which lacks medical resources."
