Executor of the Istanbul Independence Street Explosion Was Not Alone

Ahlam al-Bashir, the suspect accused of carrying out a terrorist attack in Istanbul, stated that she was not alone on Independence Street at the time of the explosion and that she was being monitored and received orders from the scene. The explosion occurred on Sunday afternoon on the pedestrian-only Independence Street in the central Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, resulting in six deaths and injuries to 81 others. The country's authorities classified the incident as a terrorist attack. Al-Bashir, who left the scene by taxi after the explosion, confessed to having connections with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which is banned in Turkey.

According to a report by "NTV," "Ahlam al-Bashir, the terrorist who carried out the attack organized by the PKK and People's Protection Units (YPG) in Beyoğlu, provided significant information in Istanbul. The terrorist mentioned that she was not alone during the attack. Someone was watching her, and she received an order to detonate the bomb from the location of the event."

Al-Bashir also mentioned in her testimony during interrogation that while she was sitting on a bench, a terrorist with the codename Haji looked at the crowd and instructed her to activate the bomb. The number of arrests related to the terrorist attack in Istanbul has exceeded 50 individuals.
