Chery is preparing to launch a modern electric car developed in collaboration with electronics giant Huawei. The new "Luxeed S7" features a streamlined body and sporty characteristics that suggest power and modernity, equipped with wide 20-inch wheels. The vehicle measures 4.97 meters in length, 1.93 meters in width, and 1.47 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.95 meters. Its roof consists of two glass panels that block nearly 99% of harmful ultraviolet rays, as reported by the developers.
The vehicle comes with numerous safety features, including a lidar device mounted on the roof to control autonomous driving systems, 12 ultrasonic radar sensors, and 11 cameras providing a 360-degree view around the vehicle. It is also equipped with a blind-spot monitoring system to avoid accidents, automatic lane-keeping systems, and emergency lane adjustment systems.
The vehicle's dashboard is designed to be simple and practical, with no buttons and a large touchscreen at the center. Additionally, another screen is placed in front of the driver to function as a digital dashboard. Several versions will be offered, equipped with batteries that allow for ranges of 550, 705, or 800 kilometers on a single charge. These cars will be powered by electric motors producing 292 horsepower, enabling them to reach speeds of 210 km/h.
