How the Sun Affected Starlink Satellites

The General Director of the Integrated Unmanned Solutions Center, Dmitry Kozyakin, announced that "solar activity has negatively impacted the operation of Starlink satellites, which assist the Ukrainian armed forces, and has caused them to drift from their positions." Kozyakin points out that "some Starlink satellites that provide communications for the Ukrainian armed forces have 'drifted' from their orbital positions due to powerful X-class solar flares." He states: "The current solar activity is aligning with Russia. While its impact on drone flights is minor, it has a significant effect on the operation of the Starlink satellite constellation, which supports the Ukrainian armed forces by providing communications. This is because the current solar flares are a thousand times stronger than usual solar flares, and there is information indicating that some satellites have 'drifted' from their orbital positions."
