Hachem: Berri's Stance on the "Moderation" Initiative is Positive

MP Qassem Hachem described the stance of House Speaker Nabih Berri on the National Moderation Bloc initiative as positive. Hachem stated in an interview on "Voice of Lebanon" that no one can impose a candidate; otherwise, we would have resolved the vacancy, noting that some insisted on not responding to dialogue. In response to a question about MP Ali Hasan Khalil's visit to Qatar as an envoy from President Berri, Hachem pointed out that Qatar plays a key role in the quintet committee, aiming to activate communication to reach the election of a president for the republic. Regarding the situation in the south, Hachem mentioned that Berri's approach is based on the equation: "When this war is imposed on us, we will be ready, as Southerners have suffered from this aggression and faced destruction repeatedly." Hachem emphasized that the challenges and developments in the country and the region require understanding among all parties involved.
