Morocco: Video Captures Moment of Residential Building Collapse in Casablanca

On Thursday afternoon, a four-story residential building collapsed in the Moroccan city of Casablanca, without causing any injuries. Residents of the building in the Bourkane neighborhood evacuated their homes after its walls began to crack, allegedly due to repairs one of the residents was conducting. Moroccan website "Hespress" reported that "the collapsed building was inhabited, and had it not been for divine intervention, the tragedy would have been significant." Local authorities rushed to the scene immediately after the incident, and an investigation has been launched to determine the causes and legal repercussions. The incident recalled the 2014 tragedy in the same Bourkane neighborhood, which resulted in numerous deaths and injuries.
