Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich commented on the government's decision to oppose "international impositions" regarding the settlement with the Palestinians. Smotrich stated, "There is broad consensus that a Palestinian state endangers the state of Israel, and we must unequivocally express our opposition to this matter." He added, "I call on the Prime Minister to present another resolution that expresses the strict opposition of the State of Israel to the establishment of a Palestinian state, which would bring more and more terrorism to Israeli citizens," according to him. Additionally, the Israeli government unanimously adopted a resolution today, Sunday, prohibiting the recognition of the State of Palestine except after bilateral negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.
