The Israeli army released a video of the battles fought by its soldiers in the Shujaiya neighborhood in northern Gaza yesterday, Tuesday, where 10 of its soldiers were killed in an ambush set by “Qassam Brigades.” The army spokesperson confirmed the ongoing fierce battles between its forces and fighters from the “Qassam Brigades” in Shujaiya. According to the spokesperson, Golani Brigade forces have been engaged in combat in the northern axis, specifically in Shujaiya, for a week to eliminate and dismantle Hamas and its fighters, stripping them of their capabilities.
He added, “In the course of the attack, fighters from the battalion combat group clashed with militants who threw explosives at the force and fired at them from within a residential building that contained underground infrastructure, resulting in the deaths of several leaders and fighters who had come to support and rescue the force inside the building.”
The Israeli army had earlier announced the death of 10 soldiers in battles in northern Gaza, raising their death toll since October 7 to 444. The "Times of Israel" reported yesterday that the number of Israeli soldiers killed since the start of the ground operation in Gaza on October 27 has reached 105.
