Notice to All Warehouse Owners in Basement Levels within Beirut

The Governor of Beirut, Marwan Aboud, has issued a notice to all owners and occupants of warehouses located in basement levels intended for storing various materials within the city. They are required to declare to the municipality and submit the following documents:

- A description of the goods and materials stored in the warehouses.

- The legal document for occupying the warehouse (a copy of the title deed, or a copy of a recent property certificate, or a copy of a rental contract registered with the municipality in accordance with the regulations).

- A copy of the occupant's identification (owner or tenant) including their address and phone number.

- A copy of the license from the relevant authorities for the ongoing activity, and an insurance policy if available.

- A technical report signed by a responsible engineer confirming compliance of the warehouse with public safety procedures and fire hazards (manual and automated fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, etc.).

This must be done within one month from the date of this notice, otherwise, legal actions will be taken against those who fail to submit the declaration and required documents, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. This may include organizing violation reports and sealing the premises when necessary, at the full responsibility of the owner or occupant of the warehouse.
