Title: Nissan's Profits Soar 92 Percent

Japanese automotive manufacturer Nissan announced today, Thursday, a 92 percent increase in its profits for the fiscal year ending March, reaching 426.6 billion yen (2.7 billion dollars) due to a rise in sales volume across all major global markets, except China. Nissan Motors stated, "Annual sales increased by almost 20 percent to 12.7 trillion yen (81.5 billion dollars)." In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, from January 2024 to March, Nissan's profits slightly declined to 101.3 billion yen (650 million dollars) from 106.9 billion yen. The company also noted a 13 percent increase in quarterly sales to 3.5 trillion yen (22 billion dollars) driven by its electric vehicle, the Nissan Leaf, luxury Infiniti models, and Z sports cars. The company's CEO, Makoto Uchida, stated that Nissan aims for further growth under a strategy called "the Arc," launched last month, with a focus on electric vehicles to boost sales.
