The head of the Progressive Socialist Party, MP Taymour Jumblatt, has issued a decision appointing Rabi' Al-Attar as the party's representative for the North region, and Hassan Suwaid as the representative for the Central Bekaa region. Al-Attar is a practicing appellate lawyer who joined the party in 1999, became an active member in 2000, and was appointed as the Secretary of the Internal Affairs Agency in the North in 2002. He also served as the representative for the Commission on Student, Youth, and Sports Affairs in the North in 2002, the Secretary in the Dier Ammar branch in 2005, and the Cultural Affairs Secretary in the Tripoli office in 2006. In 2016, he became the Deputy Commissioner for Culture in the party and was appointed as a member of the Justice and Legislation Commission in 2017.
As for Hassan Suwaid, he was born in Bar Elias in 1982 and holds a degree in English Literature from the Lebanese University. He is a high school teacher and joined the party in 2017, becoming an active member in 2023. He was a member of the Progressive Youth Organization at the Lebanese University office in Zahle from 2005 to 2009.
