The Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq announced today, Friday, the "capture of a prominent terrorist leader in Baghdad." The organization stated in a statement: "In a successful qualitative operation, the intelligence and information units of the Popular Mobilization Forces managed to apprehend a prominent terrorist leader in the capital Baghdad."
The statement added that "the operation was based on intelligence information and careful monitoring, where the units were able to apprehend the terrorist (T.A.J) in the capital Baghdad, who had previously operated in the Anbar governorate and later in the northern Baghdad governate."
The statement continued that "the terrorist is considered one of the key participants in the tribal conference supporting the criminal gangs of ISIS in the Al-Karma area, where an Iraqi Army soldier (Samir Murad) was killed." It pointed out that "necessary legal procedures have been taken against the detainee."
