Arrival of the First Aid Ship at the Temporary Port in Gaza

The first ship loaded with humanitarian aid arrived today, Friday, at the temporary floating port established by the United States off the coast of the Gaza Strip, as announced by Palestinian and American sources. The U.S. Central Command stated that the aid, which is reaching the dock, is part of "ongoing multinational efforts to provide additional assistance to Palestinian civilians." The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced the operational commencement of the floating port. The Pentagon clarified in a statement that the mission of the floating dock is to deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza. The aid includes relief supplies donated by several countries and humanitarian organizations. Palestinian sources reported that the arriving ship carries food, medicines, and some essential supplies. The sources explained that the ship stopped off the coast of the Gaza Strip while crews from the World Food Programme worked to unload its cargo via smaller boats and transfer it through the floating port to waiting trucks.
