A number of young men blocked the Corniche Al-Mazraa road for a short time in protest against the motorcycle seizure campaign in Beirut. The security plan, which was prepared based on recommendations from Interior and Municipalities Minister Judge Bassam Mawlawi, was launched yesterday morning following a security meeting dedicated to Beirut that took place about ten days ago, attended by representatives from the army and all security agencies.
The security plan involves strict measures aimed at maintaining safety, including day and night patrols by traffic units in Beirut, the southern suburbs, and new areas, along with support from various internal security forces units, such as the Panthers and Judicial Police. Mawlawi stated: "I asked everyone to be present on the ground, and we have raised the level of readiness after an increase in complaints regarding crimes occurring, particularly in Beirut and its suburbs."
