Gaza Under Fire… Arrests in the West Bank

Amid the rising death toll in Gaza, which is witnessing intense Israeli warfare, Israel continued its strikes on the northern, central, and southern parts of the besieged Palestinian territory. In recent hours, dozens of people have been killed and injured due to Israeli bombing in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip, Jabalia in the north, and Khan Younis in the south, where Israeli aircraft targeted the Al-Khulafa Mosque in the western city and the vicinity of Al-Nasser Hospital, as well as several homes housing displaced individuals. The number of fatalities in Khan Younis has reached 20, according to the Palestinian news agency. Additionally, seven people were killed in an Israeli strike on a house west of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. Four Palestinians were also killed and others injured in strikes on the Al-Salam neighborhood east of Rafah in the southern part of the strip on Wednesday. Since the war erupted in Gaza following the surprise attack launched by Hamas on Israeli settlements and military bases near Gaza, the number of Palestinians killed as a result of Israeli bombing has reached 22,313, while the number of injured has climbed to 57,296, according to the latest statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the strip.

Simultaneously with the continuous Israeli bombing of Gaza, the West Bank continues to witness daily raids, clashes, and arrests. Israeli forces raided the town of Tamoun south of Tubas today, Thursday, storming several homes, which led to clashes and the sound of several explosions. A Palestinian young man named Aseed Jawad Bani Ouda (29 years old) was killed after being injured in the back by Israeli army gunfire, according to the Palestinian news agency. Cities including Bethlehem, Ramallah, Qalqilya, Hebron, Tubas, and Nablus in the West Bank were also raided. Clashes erupted between youth and Israeli forces during the incursion into Ramallah. Furthermore, the Israeli army launched an arrest campaign in the city of Tulkarm and its two refugee camps, Tulkarm and Noor Shams, continuing its assault on the city for the second consecutive day.
