Temporary Halt in IAEA Talks with Iran

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, mentioned in a press interview that "the death of the Iranian president and foreign minister in a helicopter crash has caused a halt in the agency's discussions with Tehran regarding the enhancement of cooperation." He added in Helsinki, where he participated in a nuclear conference: "They are in a mourning period, and I must respect that." Grossi stated: "But once it is over, we will reach out again," describing the situation as "a temporary halt that I hope will end within days."
