The Iranian official news agency "IRNA" reported on Tuesday that a massive fire broke out at a cosmetics factory in a town in central Iran, leading to an explosion that resulted in several injuries. The agency added that "23 of the injured from the incident, which occurred in the town of Fardis in the Alborz province, were taken for medical care." The semi-official Student News Network reported that "the cause of the explosion was a gas leak."
Last week, two explosions in Iran led to approximately one hundred deaths and dozens of injuries during a memorial event for General Qassem Soleimani, who died in a U.S. drone strike in 2020.
