The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced today, Tuesday, that "the Rapid Response Division was able to arrest 26 violators of the Iraqi residency law in three areas of the capital, Baghdad." A statement from the ministry said: "The leadership of the Rapid Response Division in the Ministry of Interior succeeded in apprehending 26 violators of the Iraqi residency law, of various nationalities, during ongoing security operations in the areas of Al-Shuhada, Al-Basateen neighborhood, and Sab' Qusur."
It added that "several motorcycles lacking official papers were seized, as well as unlicensed light weapons." The statement continued that "the operation comes in cooperation with joint security forces and in coordination with the Rapid Response Intelligence Department, where the wanted individuals and seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities."
