Following the announcement of Riyadh's victory in hosting Expo 2030, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz affirmed that the Kingdom's win solidifies its leadership and pivotal role. He also congratulated King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on this occasion, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). He stated, "The Kingdom's victory in hosting Expo 2030 reinforces its leadership and pivotal role and the international trust it enjoys, making it an ideal destination for hosting major global gatherings, with Expo being one of them."

#### An Unprecedented Version

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reiterated the Kingdom's commitment to delivering an exceptional and unprecedented version in the history of this global event with the highest levels of innovation, contributing actively and positively to a bright future for humanity by providing a global platform that harnesses the latest technologies and brings together brilliant minds to optimally invest in opportunities and propose solutions to the challenges facing our planet today. He said, "Our hosting of Expo 2030 will coincide with the year of achieving the targets and plans of Saudi Vision 2030; the exhibition presents a wonderful opportunity to share with the world the lessons learned from an unprecedented transformation journey."

#### Strong and Direct Support from the Crown Prince

The Crown Prince confirmed that Riyadh is ready to host the world at Expo 2030, fulfilling the commitments outlined in the bid for participating countries to achieve the main theme of the exhibition "A New Era: Together for a Sustainable Future," and its sub-themes "A Better Tomorrow, Climate Action, and Prosperity for All," by mobilizing all available resources.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom's bid to host the Expo 2030 was supported strongly and directly by the Crown Prince, who is also the Prime Minister, starting from the announcement on October 29, 2021, of the official request submitted to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), the organizing authority for the international Expo.

The BIE announced the Kingdom's bid victory after a secret ballot during the General Assembly meeting (173) in Paris, where the Saudi bid garnered 119 votes from member countries, competing alongside Busan, South Korea, and Rome, Italy. International Expos have been held since 1851, serving as the largest global platform to showcase the latest achievements and technologies, promote international cooperation in economic development, trade, arts, culture, and disseminate science and technology.
