Wedding for Two Donkeys in Turkey and Honeymoon Gifts

The Komluca area in Antalya, Turkey, celebrated a symbolic wedding of two donkeys to raise awareness and prevent the extinction of donkeys. Turkish folk singer Aydin performed in front of locals who attended the wedding held in the village of Ortakoy, where the female donkey wore a white veil and the male donkey donned a black suit.

The festivities, which took place about two weeks ago, included gifts from local residents for the newlyweds, such as cucumber, carrots, and grass, which were placed on jars to prepare for a honeymoon trip. Halim Kaya, the head of the Ortakoy neighborhood, stated, "We are holding a wedding for these animals symbolically. Don't let these animals go extinct; if we want to see our donkeys in our lives, let's keep them alive and love them."
