The spokesperson for the Israeli army for Arab media, Avichay Adraee, hosted the son of one of Hamas's founders, Mosab Hassan Yousef, known as "the Green Prince," near the Gaza border. Yousef, who has defected from Hamas, stated that what happened on October 7 was "genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Jewish people." Adraee expressed his honor in meeting with Yousef and discussed the atrocities committed by Hamas on that date, emphasizing the stain that this savage terrorist organization will bear.
Yousef remarked: "What happened does not represent Islam, rather it is the result of the actions of savages and a terrorist organization." He announced that he is "innocent of Hamas's actions, which gambled with the blood of the children of Gaza for their own interests." Yousef affirmed that Israel is defending itself and has the right to what it is doing in Gaza.
Mosab Hassan Yousef Daoud Khalil (born 1978) is a Palestinian and the son of Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef. He is a former spy for Israel and was disowned by his father after converting from Islam to Christianity. In March 2010, he published his autobiography titled "Son of Hamas," which was adapted into a film named "The Green Prince," released in 2014.
