Title: Al-Haj Hassan Discusses Organizing Agricultural Imports to Lebanon

Lebanese Minister of Agriculture Abbas Al-Haj Hassan discussed, on the sidelines of the General Assembly meetings of the Arab Center for Studies of Dry Areas and Arid Lands (ACSAD) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the brotherly relations between Lebanon and Egypt with his Egyptian counterpart, Mr. El-Caissar. During the meeting, both sides affirmed the development of Lebanese-Egyptian relations and constructive cooperation in recent years. They agreed to regulate the quantities that Lebanon imports of agricultural products to prevent market flooding and ensure that traders do not stockpile and resell these products in Lebanese markets concurrently with local production. Al-Haj Hassan and El-Caissar agreed to hold a comprehensive meeting next month in Cairo to discuss various agricultural relations between the two countries. In this context, Al-Haj Hassan participated in the 37th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Center for Studies of Dry Areas and Arid Lands, which commenced today in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom was elected as the president of the General Assembly for the period 2024-2026, and Tunisia was elected to chair the executive council for the same period.
