Pyongyang Launches at Least One "Ballistic Missile"

The South Korean military indicated today, Friday, that "North Korea launched several short-range ballistic missiles toward the sea off its eastern coast, in the latest series of weapon tests conducted by Pyongyang in recent months." The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff stated: "The projectiles were launched from the town of Wonsan on the eastern coast, while Japan's broadcasting agency reported that a short-range missile was apparently launched and had already fallen." The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff noted that "North Korea launched an unspecified ballistic missile in the direction of the East Sea," also known as the Sea of Japan.
